Colour and Finish
Our Bamboo Decking Boards have a natural oiled finish, which gives a warm, rich tone created from the treatment and oiling of bamboo materials during the manufacturing process. To maintain its rich colour and woodgrain detailing, we recommend cleaning and treating Bamboo Decking Boards every six months after installation using a water-based oil, and regularly cleaning away debris or dirt.
This reversible Board has a low-slip, narrow-grooved side and a plain smooth side, depending on your project’s requirements. Specially designed Fixing Clips and Starter Clips provide a 6-7mm gap, keeping the surface of the Boards fixing-free.
Sustainability of Bamboo
Bamboo plants make a highly sustainable material due to a number of factors. Bamboo takes approximately five years to grow, which is extremely fast in comparison to other wood materials which may take decades to reach maturity, also factoring in their contribution to deforestation, which bamboo does not have. The plant also requires little maintenance and water to thrive with a high absorption rate of CO2.
Bamboo plants preserve their roots when harvested, so they will then regrow from this, meaning no replanting is needed. As a relatively self-sufficient plant, bamboo is a great alternative to other woods.
