For Boards without a Woodgrain Effect, see our 3.6m Composite Wall Cladding Boards.
For Slatted Cladding Panels, see our 2.5m Composite Slatted Wall Cladding Panels

To complete your installation, Cladco Wall Cladding Starter Strips, Composite Corner Trims, and Composite Fascia Boards are also available.

Each Cladco Wall Cladding Board provides 135mm width coverage once installed. It is recommended that Composite Battens or Timber Battens are installed 500mm apart to support the Boards. For best installation practices, refer to our Installation Guide.

Colour Variations & Natural Weathering

It is advised to purchase all Cladding Boards in a single order, as batch variations may occur when ordering at different times. Even within the same order, minor colour fluctuations between Boards are normal.

Because Composite Cladding contains timber fibres, it will undergo a natural colour stabilisation process once installed. This occurs over the first few months and is influenced by exposure to sunlight and outdoor elements.

Please note that Cladco Cladding appears darker when wet compared to its dry state.

Sustainability Commitment

Cladco Composite products are available as FSC® certified at no additional cost. If you require FSC® certified products, please request this when placing your order.

Fire Resistance of Composite Cladding

Is Composite Cladding Fireproof?

As a Wood-Plastic Composite (WPC) product, Cladco Composite Cladding contains natural wood fibres, meaning it is not fireproof.

However, we offer fire-rated Cladding options, such as our Fibre Cement Cladding Boards, which are Class B fire-rated for added safety.

While Composite Cladding has undergone a fire assessment, it does not have a specified fire rating, similar to Timber Cladding, due to its natural components. For this reason, we have not pursued a full fire rating for Composite Cladding.

If you require a fire-rated Cladding solution, we recommend using Fibre Cement Cladding.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does the Cladding have a fire class rating?

Please refer to our Accreditations page for full details on the fire class ratings of our products.

Is my Cladding maintenance-free?

Composite Cladding needs much less upkeep compared to traditional timber materials, however, it is not completely maintenance-free. Routine cleaning is essential to get rid of debris and stop potential staining. If your Cladding is located beneath overhanging trees, it is important to promptly clear leaves, petals, and sap to avoid surface marks. Additionally, water runoff from gutters and downpipes may stain the Boards, making regular maintenance vital to preserve their appearance.

Do Composite Boards fade?

Like any Composite material, our Cladding Boards go through a process of stabilisation where fading may happen until the final colour is reached. Stabilisation usually occurs during the first six months following installation. This is more evident in the woodgrain design, where shading variations can arise due to the process of sanding.

Why is airflow behind the Boards necessary?

Cladco Composite Cladding functions as a rain screen cladding option, which allows adequate airflow to enable proper ventilation of any rainwater that may penetrate the Cladding. Without sufficient airflow, standing water will not evaporate, which can lead to mould spots on your Cladding.

Why are watermarks appearing on my Composite Cladding?

Watermarks may occur as a result of the weathering process associated with Composite materials. As the tannins from the timber content of the Boards come to the surface, these marks can become visible. This condition is temporary, and the marks will naturally fade as the Cladding stabilises.

Why is spacing at the ends of the Boards required?

Ventilation behind your Cladding Boards is crucial for the evaporation of excess water. Allowing space at the ends of the Boards, around the perimeter of your installation, provides an exit for air and improves moisture control.
