Our Signature Composite Decking Boards are made up of 60% FSC® Certified recycled wood fibres and 40% recycled plastics, combined with bonding agents and tints. This original decking board is a great alternative to timber with a little less maintenance and stylish colour variations. ProDeck Composite Boards are our next-generation decking solution, with increased durability thanks to a polymer capped shell. This protective layer shields the original composite core from potential damage.
Cladco Composite Decking is resistant to rot, splintering and warping due to the plastic elements within the composite make-up. Unlike timber decking, neither of our composite boards need to be sealed, stained or painted. Signature Composite Decking Boards will need to be kept free from debris and water for prolonged periods of time to avoid possible damage, whereas our ProDeck Composite Boards require less maintenance, due to the protective capping.
Our composite boards can be cut to length using standard woodworking tools. Stainless steel screws and t-clips can be used to secure the decking boards to a suitable joist subframe. Please note: Natural colour variations in our Signature Composite Decking Boards are expected due to the high contents of timber within the product. We advise ordering all of your boards in one go, to reduce these variations. Additionally, the boards may appear different in wet and dry weather, which can make these colour differences more noticeable.
After installation, our composite decking goes through a period of stabilisation as the material gets used to its outdoor environment, this often happens within six months. Sun exposure and weather conditions will affect the level of the weathering.
Our ProDeck Composite Decking Board benefits from being stain and fade resistant. With a choice between a detailed woodgrain and narrow grooved surface, the boards are capped for increased weather resistance and strength.
