Why do you need to use Millboard® Cladding Aluminium Perforated Closure Trims?
Millboard® Cladding Aluminium Perforated Closure Trims work to prevent insects and rodents from entering into the ventilated cavity behind the Boards, while enabling airflow. They are installed at various places in your Cladding project: at the bottom of the cladding using the starter trim, independently at the top, and in conjunction with the corner profiles.
This Perforated Closure Trim is suited to 25mm or 50mm batten sizes and is used alongside Millboard® Shadow Line+ and Board & Batten+ Cladding ranges.

For optimal placement, the Perforated Closure should be positioned between the back of your battens and the wall. This should be considered when fixing the battens. Alternatively, the Perforated Closure can be fixed to the front of the battens using the 20mm Stainless Steel Fixings.
When using Perforated Closure Trims with External or Internal Corner Profiles, you will need to attach them to the back of your Corner Profiles using 20mm Stainless Steel Screws at 200mm intervals. These are then secured to the battens at the corners. When installing a Square Corner Trim, a similar process is followed.
