Millboard® Decking Boards are hand-moulded and coloured from selected oak boards for a natural
texture. The Enhanced Grain collection recreates the subtle nuances of real oak, showcasing
organic patinas within a low-maintenance Decking Board. The Weathered Oak collection offers a
beautifully-aged aesthetic, moulded from century-old oak and hand-coloured for authenticity. The
Millboard® Decking collection has a timeless appeal with minimal maintenance and high
slip-resistance, even in wet conditions. Topped with a unique Lastane ‘soft-touch’ surface,
fixings are hidden beneath the woodgrain texture for a discreet installation.
Maintaining Millboard® Decking Boards
Millboard® Decking Boards are easy to maintain due to their durable, wood-free and low-absorption
properties. These low-maintenance Boards do not swell, rot, warp, or encourage the growth of
mould or mildew. Their strong and durable coating means they do not need to be painted,
varnished, or sanded, unlike traditional timber decking. To keep Millboard® Decking looking its
best, simply keep clear away debris and clean them as often as needed with warm, soapy water.
For a long-lasting deck, avoid using chemicals while cleaning. Millboard® Decking is supplied
with a 10 or 25-year warranty (depending on use).
How to Install Millboard® Decking?
Millboard® Decking Boards can be installed using specific Millboard® Durafix Screws that sink
below the unique Lastane surface of the Boards. Fixings can also be installed using the DuoFix
Side-Fixing Guide tool for accurate spacing and positioning of screws. Plastic Joists and Posts
can be used for their long-lasting benefits as the substructure to keep your Millboard® Decking
area stable and in place for many years to come. Please refer to Millboard® Decking installation
guides available on our website for detailed instructions on how to install Millboard® Decking
Boards. Alternatively, visit the Millboard® website for a list of recommended installers.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Millboard® expand or contract?
Millboard® Decking Boards expansion and contraction is minimum in comparison to
timber
decking materials. The wood-free composition of the Board is designed to produce
reduced
thermal movement, resulting in little expansion or contraction over time.
Does decking get hot in the sun?
Millboard® Enhanced Grain Decking Boards are manufactured using a wood free
composition,
which prevents the Boards from getting as hot as traditional timber or other decking
materials may. These Decking Boards feature UV stabilisers to resist the effects of
sunlight.
Can I use a pressure washer on my decking?
Pressure washers can be used carefully on Millboard decking for cleaning and rinsing.
We
would
recommend a PSI no greater than 2,000 should be used, with a 40 to 60
degree spread fan tip. The head should always be kept around 300mm away from
the surface.
Does Millboard Decking come with a warranty?
Yes, a Limited Warranty provides peace of mind. We assure you that we stand by the
provisions laid down in the Limited Warranty document. For details on the Millboard®
or
Cladco warranty, please see our T&C's.
