The Benefit of using our Timber Decking Joists
Building the base you need under your timber decking boards wouldn’t be possible without using our FSC Certified timber joists. Used in conjunction with our timber posts, you will be able to create a structurally stable base that lasts. Graded C24 in strength class, our timber decking joists are sawn and green treated with Tanalith ‘E’ preservative to ensure long-lasting protection from the elements.

Timber Joists for Perfect Decking
When used efficiently, timber decking joists completely support the base of your decking boards. We highly recommend using on top of a concrete base as this will ensure the flattest possible surface to work with. Used alongside our timber posts will ensure as solid a structure to start from, meaning many years of usage without issue.
Using our handy installation guides will help to show the best practices we recommend. We also have a number of trims and fixings we recommend for use when putting together your timber decking.
What does C24 timber mean?
The C24 in Cladco timber joists referes to the type of timber used, C24 timber is 50% stronger than C16 timber and has significantly less knots in the wood. This allows the timber to bear more weight than a C16 timber joist so can be used for longer spans or increased loads. The dense fibres within the wood increase strength and durability as well as being green treated (tanalised) and FSC Certified.
